the easiest , cheapest way . go to shoe maker, shoe repair shop . they will have the proper remover . at a cheaper price than any other outlet . they also could supply a leather conditioner . this will help but is not neccesary . good luck . smart thing to do , just wrong item . no harm ,no foul . thank you

You want to use a cleaner designed specifically for leather. Below is a good cleaner that should do the trick. DO NOT use cleaners or home remedies that are not specifically designed for leather or you will probably do more harm then good. I hope it is helpful.

The bag completely dry.
The silicone spray you applied just be sure to wipe the bag completely dry.
